Does anyone have any info on the 1919 Triangle Baseball Club? My great grandfather was the Manager and I have a picture of the whole team. I was hoping to read some things about the team and or him. He was raised in Dayton and I believe his family (or could have been my grandmother's family)had an small store and ice cream parlor there.
I did see where someone was asking about "Bill Lape".. I have a picture of him in this team picture.

I always thought the Dayton Triangles were football and the Ducks were baseball. I remember going to the Football Hall of Fame in Canton and was told the Triangles played in the first NFL game.

greytdaddy - When this topic came up, I ran across the article below on the Dayton Triangles website (i.e., the football team), which lists the various organized baseball teams from Dayton. The website also has the stories about the Triangles NFL connection, as does the article on Wikipedia.
