When I was in 8th grade I would take Drama lessons at the Living arts Center on Linden ave. I lived in Lower Dayton view and would ride the lexington bus downtown and transfer
to another bus and head out to Wayne & Wyoming area and take a long walk up to Linden. Been away for awhile but I believe this is the route we took. Anyway some took art, some took drama, some took signing lessons. Great fun at 14..Did anyone else remember using that center?

wabash 73. I live just off Linden Ave. Can you narrow the location down any? Might be able to help you more. As far as telling you what is there now. Heading up around Wayne & Wyoming would be the #7 bus. It still runs that same route.

Wabash73 - The Living Arts Center was in a brick building on the north side of Linden Ave. just a short walk above the railroad overpass. I believe that the building once housed a local coffee company (Old Reliable) that went out of business by 1950 or so. When I was a kid in the 50's and 60's, the Dayton Bd. of Education used the building as a warehouse. It later was turned into the Living Arts Center. I can't imagine why you would have taken the #7 or #4 bus and walked from the Wayne/Wyoming area. The two closest lines at that time would have been the #3 Hearthstone (get off at Xenia Ave. at Linden) or #2 Fifth St. (get off at Fifth and Linden).u
