Seems that down near the Southland 75 drive in there also was a track. It did a great business but have no idea how long go carting lasted. Anyone remember an accident there when someone went through the fence and tore eyelid off? Cant remember age nor end result.

You must be thinking of that Malibu Grand Prix place on Rt 741. That was a pretty nice place. I dont know about that incident you described but it sounded pretty bad.

Calling Malibu Grand Prix a "go cart track" is an understatement. The vehicles were more like scale Indy cars, driven on a very large track. There was also a big video game arcade. MGX was a national chain, by the way, with other tracks in both Cincinnati and Columbus.
There was a go cart track on Linden Ave, next to Pla Mor Lanes bowling alley. It's still there in fact, although the grass and weeds have pretty much consumed it. I remember motorized romps around that small course after a few illegally obtained adult beverages back in the day.
Was there a go cart track somewhere around North Dayton or Vandalia? My cousins lived on N. Dixie near the drive-in, and I seem to remember driving go carts not too far from where they lived.

Seems like years ago there were many more activities for kids and families to do. Many drive in movies skating rinks miniature golf go cart tracks and were very affordable. Since then they have all but disappeared and been replaced by things that cost way more and harder to get to. Another sad commentary for benefits from progress.

There was a go cart track at the corner of Gettysburg and Little Richmond. Like others it's overgrown with weeds.
There was a midget race track on Needmore next to the North Star. It was right across the road from Brawley's restaurant.

There was also a go kart track in early 60's out past the SAC base around behind Rainbow Lakes.

The go-kart track on Gettysburg belonged to my uncle. He owned Turpin's Florist that was located beside it. He and my aunt lived in the house directly behind the florist on Little Richmond Road. He had the go-kart track for several years but like everything else in that area, he had to close it down after being robbed several times and patrons being rowdy and jumping the fence and not wanting to pay. But it was fun while it lasted.
