I remember watching thru a window as they made the pizzas by hand. they had a great pizza called the monster pizza and the son of the monster pizza. This was back in the late 70s early 80s.

Sure was, it might later have been called Monster. I grew up around the Dayton Mall, so we ate there many, many times. Mostly because Marions would not allow teens in their place on Kingsridge because Miamisburg and West Carrolton students would often fight on Friday nughts in there after games.

Yes I too remember Noble Romans Pizza, there was one on Whipp road near Bigger, you could watch thru a window as they made your pie, also they would show old Laurel and Hardy movies on a projector,, good times, good times.

I forgot about the Laurel and Hardy movies, They came back to town but it's not the same pizza or place I grew up with it's more of a fast food place.

Brian, I live near West Palm Beach and there is a Friendly's in Wellington that we go to when going to the Regal theater behind it. BUT like many Friendly's, it might be on it's way out. Many have closed.

The Maximus was their largest regular pizza.

The Monster had extra layers of cheese. We got a Monster pitcher. It was one of those gimmicky things that if you brought it back you'd get discounted soda refills. The lid was a cap and the bottom looked like feet.

I live in Austin now and was excited when a Noble Roman's was opening here a couple of years ago. It was a huge dissapointment as their menu is completely different.

One time when I was in high school my dad and I went to Noble Roman's after working in the yard all day. We demolished the Maximus. As we were workign through it we seemed to get more and more attention from the other people in the restaurant.
